Each petal, leaf and stem began life as glass powder (similar to talcum powder) which is shaped and then fired in the kiln before hand tidying. The individual pieces are then arranged on a large base circle of pre-fired glass and slowly fired in my kiln for 24 hours to securely fuse the arrangement. The end result is a lifelike piece of art - but unlike a real hydrangea, yours will not need watering and the colours will not fade!
The piece is c29cm wide and c35cm tall (including stand). The stand is uncoated wrought iron.
