To make this very special piece, you firstly cut numerous strips of clear and coloured glass. These are then carefully arranged on the kiln shelf they will be fired on. Some are placed flat to create a strong base layer and the other strips are placed on their edges. This is a very time-consuming process and a bit of a balancing act.
The final assembly is fired in the kiln for c30 hours, before them firing again on a shaping mould. This bowl measures c30cm in diameter and is c7cm high. The price includes DPD delivery to mainland UK. Please contact me if you would prefer to collect from the studio.
