Product Details

To make this colour flow piece, I firstly create mixes of glass granules, known as frit. These are fired on hand-cut rectangles of glass. They are then added to multiple layers of glass, which are stacked on top of each other and which line the edge of a stainless steel ring. This is then fired to a high temperature which melts the glass layers so that they flow towards the centre. This process takes about 30 hours. The fired slab is then re-fired so that it spreads to create the final effect.

Due to the process, it is almost impossible to make two of these pieces the same, so they are original and one-off pieces of glass art.

The piece is c29cm wide and c35cm tall (including stand). The stand is uncoated wrought iron.

Price includes packaging and DPD delivery to mainland UK. Please contact me if you would prefer to collect from our Cricklade Studio.
